A fast moving worm is squirming though Google’s Orkut social network, adding hundreds of thousands of users to an Orkut community created by a Brazilian hacker. The worm, which first appeared on Dec. 19, has been spreading through Orkut’s Scrapbook system at a rapid pace, infecting more than 650,000 users in the space of a few hours.

Dataone is a broadband Internet service (www.bsnl.co.in/service/dataone.htm) offered by BSNL, a major ISP of India.. This service imposes an upload/download usage limit on its users. Usage between 2am and 8am is free, under certain schemes.

This makes it imperative for the users to keep an eye on their usage statistics. However, the BSNL website which provides these usage figures is not very useful, as any Dataone user will vouch.

In internet terminology “mail bombing” is referred to an act of sending or forwarding huge amounts of email to a particular person’s mailbox or system. By mail bombing somebody’s mail box, you can actually fill up or overflow or overwhelm the recipient’s mailbox space.
